The OTM 7.8 update introduces new features for project managers: Sharing and delegating projects

All users with the role of supervisor or admin have these rights by definition, even if the new roles are not explicitly activated. Now you can optionally assign these rights to any project manager by activating the roles “Project management: Share own project” and/or “Project management: Delegate project”.

Free CAT Online Weighting Tool now considers Trados "Locked Segments"

Starting with Trados Studio 2014 – and being continued in Trados Studio 2015 – the XML analysis file contains tags for "Locked Segments" by default. LSP.net's Free CAT Online Weighting Tool now considers these segments.

OTM Update version 7.7

OTM 7.7 is a technical update which brings all modules on which OTM is based up to their newest version. This includes the latest versions of SQL, PHP (version 7),  Apache (HTTP/2), and numerous smaller tools and libraries used by OTM.

For users, these updates will be mostly noticeable in terms of increased speed, security and system integrity.

In the resource pages, the protocol of the result file upload now includes the name that the uploaded file had before it was renamed according to the name of the source file.

In >Administration >Resource administration >Candidates, the email addresses of candidates are shown in order to ease the identification of invited resources in this list.

A few minor bug fixes and small features have been added as well.

OTM Update version 7.0 rolled out

The OTM 7.0 update is about quality management, focusing on scoring and ranking of linguists.

OTM users now can fine-tune formal and liguistic quality criteria, refining results when searching for the project's best matching linguists. The new OTM QM tools are easy to use and well documented.

OTM speed-up

Jump-starting the New Year, our relentless IT team finally succeeded after 2 weeks of hard data base forensics in speeding up most of the OTM pages by factor 3 to 4. Feels like a delayed x-mas present – nice to have :-)

OTM SOLISTA – Survey results

"Poodle" vulnerability fixed

When Google researchers published their "Poodle" vulnerability report on October 14th, LSP.net took immediate action by fixing this security issue on OTM servers. OpenSSL has been upgraded to version 1.0.1j and the OTM webservers now deny connections via the deprecated SSLv3 protocol. As a consequence, Windows XP users surfing with the ancient Internet Explorer 6 are no longer able to connect to OTM resource and client interfaces.
